Are you running out of ways to entertain the kids as the weather gets colder at during your short term leases in New Jersey? Allow the kids to get messy with their hands with this fun and easy craft! Homemade play dough can be easily made in your furnished kitchen with just a few common ingredients. You will need 1 cup flour, 1 cup warm water, 2 tbsp salt, 2 tbsp cream of tartar, 2 tbsp cooking oil and 1 package of Jell-O (color of your choice!). Just mix all the ingredients together in a small sauce pain, allowing the kids to be part of the process, and mix until most of the lumps are gone. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until it thickens into a ball of dough. Once cooking is complete, place the dough on a matt or floured surface to cool at least 20-30 minutes. Allow the little ones to get their hands dirty as they knead the dough, adding in flour until it is no longer sticky (about 1/2 cup). At this point, you can add in extra food coloring to make the colors more vibrant, or even add glitter. Now let their little imaginations run wild!
