Cherry Blossom Festival

With Spring here it is time to take in the beautiful Cherry Blossom Bloom happening around the state. Branch Brook Park the largest and most varied collection of Japanese flowering cherry blossom trees in a park within the U.S., with more than 5,000 in 18 varieties is hosting a festival April 6-14. As the second largest cherry blossom display in the country, the festival will be holding an array of events including a 10k race, trolley tours, and a family day with Japanese cultural activities, origami demonstrations, as well as bonsai, ikebana and martial arts demos.
