On the first Sunday of each month, join the Friends of Monmouth Battlefield for free guided walks across the Battlefield. Meet at the Monmouth Battlefield State Park Visitor Center at 1:30 p.m. for a walk to Perrine Hill, the main American position during the Battle of Monmouth on June 27, 1778. This site was the backdrop for the largest artillery duel of the American Revolution and is where the legend of Molly Pitcher began. After gathering, we’ll drive in convoy to Perrine Hill on Route 522. Take in some local history during your temporary housing stay in New Jersey.
