Workhorse Rides

Calling all horse enthusiasts and animal lovers at our temporary housing units in New Jersey. Howell Living Farms is hosting a Workhorse Ride event on Saturday March 11 from 10 am to 4 pm. Saddle up at Howell Living History Farm for a historical program about workhorses. Participants learn the differences between draft, saddle, and carriage horses when they climb aboard a fully harnessed workhorse for a ride down the lane.
Learn how farmers took care of barn chores like bedding stalls, filling water troughs, and making feed. A great way to get out and learn something new with the family.
